She worked well into her 70's and had amazing energy. Lorene was an artist. As a young woman, she was always drawing. She drew women's faces and dresses on quilt squares, embroidering them all. These were made into a quilt that is cherished by the family. Using her artistic abilities, her home was beautiful and she was always dressed beautifully. In the 60's she learned the art of china painting. The collection of cups, saucers and plates is a family treasure. She took up oil painting in her 60s, painting landscapes and all who see them are amazed. She was a beautiful woman, even at 95.
