A Celebration of the life of Doyle Richard Orth. Born July 19, 1927 in Deshler, Nebraska to Elmer Charles and Ruth Hazel Orth. Deceased July 9, 2018 in Casper, Wyoming. Siblings: preceded in death by Marjorie Orth, 1932. Married to Barbara Jean Orth on August 1, 1948 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Children: Richard Orth, Susan Wise (Larry), Katherina (Steve) Winer and Tom (Jane) Orth. Grandchildren: Julie Orth, Coleen Shaffer, Bruce Orth, Ernie Winer, Mike Winer, Todd Wise, Lori Wise, Zach Orth, Phillip Orth, Joanna Huckaby. Great Grandchildren: Savannah Shaffer, Brennan Sykes, Rebekah Wise, Caitlyn Wise, Steven Winer, Katie Winer, Mathew Winer, Liam Winer, Aaron Winer, Whitley Orth, Carter Orth, Vera Penberthy, Landon Huckaby, Coralei Orth, Mataya Orth, preceded in death by Sarah Winer. Military History: He served in the Wyoming State Guard as a Sargent. He was Honorable Discharged in February 13, 1947 as a Technician, 5th grade, 378th Refrigeration Truck Detachment in Inchon, Korea. He also serviced until 1953 and was Honorable Discharged as a corporal in the HQ & HQ Company, 1st battalion, 115th Armored Cavalry. Work History: United States Post Office, Orth Refrigeration, Jersey Creamery, and Little America Refinery/Sinclair Refinery. Retired in 1993. Community Service included: Meals on Wheels 1994-2008, Supported activities, kids, and adults in 4-H, Casper baseball, football, hockey, ice skating, and boy scouts. Hobbies included: Skiing, fishing, hunting, rock collecting, bowling, traveling, farming, photography, electronics, and working with steel/wood. Incredible Sudoku solver. Doyle was born in Deshler Nebraska. His parents moved to Midwest in 1929 living in a tarpaper shack until moving to Casper Wyoming. His family moved into a house on East 8th Street. He participated in track and field. Doyle graduated in 1945 from Natrona County High School. He started military service in 1945. Doyle and Barbara were married in 1948. They started a family in 1951. In 1952 they moved to a small farm in West Casper at Riverside Acres. The family raised horses, sheep, milk cows, chickens, peacocks, ducks, pigs, and loved all animals. Doyle continued his schooling in refrigeration. Doyle worked in his father's refrigeration business until 1966. Dad encouraged and supported his children's activities in life. He loved dogs. Jake, a red Australian Shepherd, was his companion on the farm west of Casper on Zero Rd. and delivering Meals on Wheels. He was a very loving and caring man. He smiled when sharing life's moment with all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special man with big dreams. We will love and miss him deeply.
