Dorothy Rhoades

Dorothy Lee Rhoades, age 73, of Casper, Wyoming went to heaven on January 29, 2013 after a short illness. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 730 S. Missouri Avenue, Monday, February 4th at 1:00 pm. Bishop Steven Higginson will be officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bustard's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home on February 2, 2013 and February 3, 2013 from 10 am to 4pm. Dorothy was born in Casper, Wyoming on January 11, 1940. She graduated from Natrona County High School and attended Casper College. She was married to Larry Rhoades on January 20, 1967. They were married 45 years. Dorothy worked at Albertsons for approximately 15 years and was a member of their union. She loved horses and collecting horse figurines and enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends. Dorothy brought joy to everyone she met and a smile to their face. She is survived by her husband, Larry Rhoades, her brother, Donald McHattie, her daughters, Annette Wang and Shanna Rhoades, her son Bert Rhoades, two grandsons, two granddaughters, and three great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her mother and father, Effie and Johnny McHattie, her brother Richard McHattie, and her son Christopher Rhoades. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation. The family of Dorothy Rhoades wishes to thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time.
