Dorothy Hulett, age 69, passed away at her home on August 21, 2016, after battling primary peritoneal cancer. She was born Dorothy Marie Lutz on November 24th, 1946 in Garnett, KS, to Edward and Gertrude Lutz. She married Gary Hulett on January 22, 1966. They ultimately had two children and settled in Casper, WY, where Dorothy worked as a legal secretary and career counselor assistant at Kelly Walsh High School. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at St. Patrick's church, especially their youth CCD program. She enjoyed reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. This year, she and Gary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Dorothy is survived by husband, Gary, from Casper; son Kevin from Kapowsin, WA; daughter Amy (Michael) Dunn, and grandchildren Christopher, Michelle, Anthony, Madison, and Xander from Highlands Ranch, CO; grandson Geoffrey Hoggatt from Evanston, WY, and his two children, Taylor and Bella; sister Waunita (Larry) Porter from Ottawa, KS; sister Mary Ann (Clark) Platt from Richmond, KS; sister Susan from Pittsburg, KS; brother Larry (Barbara) from Moran, KS; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by father Edward Lutz, mother Gertrude Lutz (Tillman), and brothers Duane, Gerald, and Gary Lutz. A rosary will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the church, and funeral mass on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:00 at St. Patrick's Church, 400 Country Club Road, Casper, WY. Inurnment of her ashes to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family is requested donations to Dorothy's long supported charities, which include: St. Joseph's Priest Retirement Fund, True Care, Seton House, and St. Anthony's Tri-Parish School.
