Dorothy Jean Crouter Glynn

Dorothy Jean Glynn, 91, passed away April 23, 2023 surrounded by her family following a short illness.
On August 11, 1952 she married the love of her life Gilbert Glynn in Sleepy Eye, MN at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church. Dorothy and Gilbert’s dream was to have a large family, by 1960 they had five children and they moved their family to Casper, Wyoming. After moving to Casper two more children were born into their union.
Dorothy was a long-time member of 4-H leadership community, loved travelling the country after her husband’s retirement and a dedicated parishioner of Lady of Fatima Church. Dorothy was a member of the Lady’s Church Group and volunteered for years at St. Vincent’s de Paul Thrift Store. Dorothy’s hobbies included reading, writing poetry, lunches with family members and travelling the state with her son, Casey.
Dorothy is survived by her seven children; Lynda Evans, Karen (Norm) Lancaster, Patty Jo Glynn, Casey Glynn, Kelly (Sandy) Glynn, Katie (Adrian) Turner, Jim Glynn, foster brother Jim Walport, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Gilbert Glynn, parents and son-in-law, Sam Evans.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent’s de Paul Thrift Store. Family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions.
There will be a viewing at Bustard’s Funeral Home on May 2, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. Services for Dorothy will be held May 3, 2023 starting at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by a graveside ceremony at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. Concluding with a reception at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
