Dorothy Dye Davidson was born on August 6, 1928 in Worland, WY to Floyd and Ruby (Wilson) Eastman. She passed away on August 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy attended school in Byron, WY and graduated from Manderson High School in 1947. On May 15, 1947, she married Murlin G. Dye in Billings, MT. This union brought 7 children: Rodney, Rosemarie, Pat, Annetta, Terry, Lori, and Tammy. During their married life, they spent much of their time in the Big Horn Basin, finally settling in Casper. Murlin passed away on March 7, 1965, leaving Dorothy to raise the family on her own. On August 6, 1974, Dorothy married Charles "Bud" Davidson in Las Vegas. Bud passed away in 1996. Dorothy loved to sew, and could create patterns just by looking at a dress or garment. She also loved to make dolls and had quite a collection of porcelain dolls, as well as an extensive salt and pepper shaker collection. In her later years, Dorothy enjoyed a trip to Alaska and a Caribbean cruise, but her heart was always in Wyoming. Her lasting legacy is her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters (Ruth, Audrey, and Marilyn), and both her husbands. She is survived by her children: Rod (Sheryl) Dye; Rose (Mike) Miracle; Pat (Judy) Dye; Annetta (Dan) Cantlin; Terry (Bev) Dye; Lori (Pete) Abrams; and Tammy (Delbert) Johnson. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren, as well as her extended family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 Am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Memorials to Central Wyoming Hospice in Dorothy's name would be appreciated.
