Donna Jean Yegen, 86, passed away at Wyoming Medical Center on November 1, 2015. Donna was born on January 20, 1929 in Miles City Montana. She grew up on a farm in eastern Montana and later returned to Miles City where she attended high school. Donna married Sydney Burton Thomas at age 23 and they moved to Billings Montana, where they had three children. She attended Billings Business College after they divorced and worked as an office manager to support her three children. On June 3, 1970, she married Cardwell Yegen of Billings Montana in Castle Creek, Colorado. The family moved to Casper Wyoming later that same year. Donna soon obtained her real estate license and had a long and successful career in the real estate industry. For many years Donna and Cardwell spent the winter months in Arizona where she enjoyed endless hours on the golf course. Donna always loved to dance, and her other favorite activities included playing cards with her friends, traveling and spending time with family. Donna was a warm and generous mother and grandmother who was fiercely devoted to her family. Donna was a member of several organizations including P.E.O Chapter Y, Cas-Caps Investment Group, and St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband Cardwell Yegen of Casper Wyoming, her daughters Valerie Akin (Steve) of Three Forks, MT, and Sydney Tervort (Mitch) of Salt Lake City, UT, her son Steven Thomas (Tammy) of Phoenix AZ and grandchildren Jena Akin of Denver CO, Reed Akin of Bozeman MT, Colter Tervort of Salt Lake City, Dylan Tervort of Salt Lake City, Jessica Thomas of Glenelg MD and Alyssa Thomas of Glenelg MD. She has two great-grandchildren, Rylan John Sutton, and Leila Recchio, both of Glenelg MD. Services will be held at 2:00pm on November 6, 2015 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with a reception immediately following.
