Donna Lee Wallingford, age 82, died at Life Care Center of Casper on Wednesday September 19th, 2012, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 19th, 1930 in the town of Sheridan, Wyoming to Clint and Bernece Bilyeu. She attended Edgemont High School in Edgemont, South Dakota and graduated in 1948. On September 13th, 1948, she was united in marriage to Albert Dana Wallingford in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Donna and Dana resided in Glendive, Montana and Mineral Wells, Texas and finally planted their roots in Casper, Wyoming. Donna worked at the Natrona County Clerk's office as well as the Hilltop Bank. She was extremely active in local politics. Donna lived a fulfilling and happy life. She was a feisty, fun loving, caring women who never missed a beat. She loved to entertain her many friends and family members. She was an amazing cook. She loved outdoor sports such as boating and snowmobiling. She spent every one of her birthdays on Big Horn Mountain with her friends and family. She recently celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary with Dana. She is survived by her husband A. Dana Wallingford, her daughter, Starla Gay Putman, and her sons Dana "Corky" Wallingford and Randy Wallingford, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and 2 pugs, Honey and Sugar. There will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Casper Pound Puppies Rescue Center or the Casper Humane Society.
