Donna S. Messerli, 56, completed her earthly journey surrounded by family and friends, Sunday, December 13, 2015. She was born January 30, 1959 in Alliance, Nebraska. She is survived by her daughter, Lacy Knight (Tim); daughter Shannon and granddaughter Emma; her mother, Beverly Olson, sister, Deb Farris (Tim),her partner, Dennis Carter, nieces Jaime, Kerrie and Samantha, great-nieces Riley Jewel, Ava and Stevannah, nephews Sonny and Jesse and great-nephews, Leonard, Wyatt and Zander as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Donna was a rare and unique individual with careers spanning lead singer in a band to law enforcement and foster parenting. A local DJ, Sqi Taylor, a published author, songwriter and poet, she was multitalented and creative. She worked for the Natrona County School District and founded I-Reach, I-Reach 2 and Reach 4 A Star Riding Academy. She pioneered programs for the differently-a bled population with a passionate belief that each of us has gifts we should share with the world. Donna was a double lung transplant recipient (2005) and was ever grateful the community support she received. Donna was an extremely courageous woman and battled acute rejection over the past several years. She was known for her generous spirit and perpetual faith. She was preceded in death by her father Ervin Olson and her daughter Morgan Belle. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 1:00 p.m.at Our Saviours Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, she requests random acts of kindness be performed and donations may be made to I-Reach 2, Central Wyoming Hospice or Our Saviours Lutheran Church.
