Donald Dunblazier

April 26, 1923 — August 23, 2017

Donald K. Dunblazier, 94, passed away on August 23, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice after a sudden illness. Don was born April 26, 1923 to Glenn and Ethel Dunblazier in St. James, Minnesota. He grew up in Wheatland, WY where he graduated high school in 1942. He moved to Casper in 1947 to manage a dairy distribution center. He went on to manage several businesses and owned Westridge Lanes and The Sage Club, which he spoke of often. Don married the love of his life, Virginia Schad of Wheatland, in 1943. They went on to have two daughters (Cheryl Ann Wempin and Karen Dunblazier), both of whom preceded him in death along with his wife. Don was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister (Maurine Galliger), one brother (Gerald Dunblazier) and two nephews (Ned Galliger and Neil Tholl). Don lease behind his younger sister Dorothy Tholl and her husband Herb, his niece Peggy Tholl Scott and her husband Bill Scott, their two sons (Bill Scott, Jr and Justin Scott), their 5 grandchildren (William Scott, Katy Scott, Jordynn Scott, Josslyn Scott and Layne Scott) as well as two other great nephews (Andy Tholl and Chris Tholl). Although Don was never blessed with grandchildren of his own, he loved his great nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews as if they were his grandchildren. He will also be missed by the staff at Primrose where he spent the last three years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Memorial Gardens in Casper with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating.
