Donald Carlson

Donald Robert Carlson, born in Superior, Wisconsin on October 13,1924, died in Edgerton, WY on June 23, 2015. Don left Wisconsin in 1943 to begin work on ranches in Colorado and Wyoming. He married Anita Neely Johnston in 1963. They moved to Edgerton, WY and he began work in the oil fields as a pumper supervisor until his retirement in 1993. Anita preceded him in death in Feb of 1993 and his stepdaughter, Rita Christiansen, in 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Don enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading western novels and listening to "old" country music. Don is survived by 3 step-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild, 5 nieces and 6 nephews. A special thank you to his friends in Edgerton; and Midwest, Dr. Katura Talbot, and to Michelle Gibbs, all of whose care and concern allowed Don to remain in his home.
