Dodie Kinziger-Chancellor

December 6, 1944 — October 2, 2013

In the early morning hours of oct 2 2013, Dodie (Dorothy Mae O'Brien) Kinziger-Chancellor, 68, went to her eternal home after a courageous fight with several illnesses. Born December 6, 1944 she was raised in Amberg, WI. Upon her high school graduation she married Nicholas Kinziger of Pound, WI. They later had a daughter, Nikkie Kinziger. Residing outside of Lena, Wi for many years, she and Nick owned and operated Nik A Doo Farm raising, showing, and racing horses and dogs. There she also worked for and managed Schssulers Bavarian Inn. In 1990 Dodie moved west where she finally settled in Casper, WY. There she met and married her current husband Carl (Bo) Chancellor on March 1, 2001. Dodie had a passion for all animals but especially her dogs. A modern day pied piper she was always bringing home strays giving them a place to feel safe. In addition, she was always very gracious and kind to the elderly. She loved working outside in her garden and yard. As an avid fisher person, she was like a child on Christmas morning whenever she caught a fish. Dodie is survived by her husband Carl (Bo) Chancellor Casper, WY, her daughter Nikkie Kinziger Oconto Falls, WI, her sister Betty (Dennis) Wagner Powell, WY, brother John (Alice) O'Brien Amherst WI and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A private viewing will be on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 3 -5 pm at Bustards.
