Dirk Vierkant

Dirk Vierkant, 48, passed away on November 27, 2010 after a sudden illness. Dirk was born on September 3, 1962 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Irmgard Lebowski. After she passed away in 1975, Dirk was taken in and raised by his beloved uncle and aunt, Jack and Edith Evans. In 1978, they moved to the United States. Dirk graduated in 1981 from Northwest High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. In November, 1982, he moved with friends to Casper, which he made his home for the rest of his life. In November, 1985, Dirk became employed at Northern Utilities, which later became Source Gas. He had just received his 25 year service recognition award. Besides his job, Dirk loved to hunt, camp, work on his automobiles and hang with his friends. Dirk is survived by three children, Eric Vierkant, Logan Vierkant and Abrienne (Abby) Vierkant, all of Casper. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle of Clarksville, Tennessee, and a sister, Andrea, who lives in Germany. He was preceded in death by his mother and his maternal grandmother. He was truly loved and will be missed by his friends and family. A small family service has already taken place. A "Celebration of Life" get together is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help fund youth programs and scholarships at the National Rifle Association, Office of Advancement - Youth Programs, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030. Cremation has been held.
