"José" Dennis Joe Vinson Joe was born in Hamby, Texas on August 24th, 1938 to Willis Vinson and Leta Belle (Starrett) Vinson. He was the youngest and last survivor of nine children. Joe was survived by his wife, Karla Vinson of Wyoming, his sons, Monty of Colorado, Lane of Idaho, Quinn of Nebraska and step son Keith of Wyoming.With a total of eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and an abundance of friends, Joe's heart was always full of love. In Joe's adolescent years he prided himself not only in his humility but his work ethic. Beginning in 1954, he started working for Atlas Van Line, a trucking company, based out of Texas. Atlas gave Joe the opportunity to see the value and beauty of the country. After his time with Atlas, Joe moved to Colorado and pursued his profession in the oil field industry. With spending twenty-five years on the rigs Joe decided to go back to his roots of Trucking. Joe found his place and second home at Weatherford Trucking Company. Joe's diligent efforts didn't go unnoticed for he received several safe driving awards and logged a total of 7,600,000 miles. Joe passed away on December 28th, 2018 in the comfort of his own home with his wife by his side, after a long fight with COPD. Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Mountain View Baptist Church to be followed by a celebration of life with Pastor Buddy Hanson officiating. Flowers can be delivered to the church.
