Casper

Dennis “Denny” Keith Stenhaug, 84, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on April 25th, 2024 at Hospice, after living with Alzheimer’s.  He was surrounded in love by his son, Jeff, daughter-in-law, Tammy and grandson, Kris.

Denny was born on July 14, 1939, to Theodore and Ingebor Stenhaug in Clarkfield, Minnesota.  After Denny graduated from Clarkfield High School, he went to St. Olaf College.  He went on to join the Army where he served in the Korean War from 1962 to 1964.

After serving two years in the Army, he moved to Casper where he met his wife, Mary.  Together Denny and Mary proudly shared two sons, Lonnie and Jeff.

Denny retired and spent his time in Arizona.  While living in Arizona he could be found on a golf course doing what he loved most.   Denny moved back to Casper, Wyoming to be closer to his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons.  He would later have the joy of becoming a great-grandfather of two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Denny lived his remaining years being cared for by his son, Jeff and daughter-in-law, Tammy.  There was never a dull moment with him.  All the memories made during that time will be forever treasured and hold a special place in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Lonnie; his loving wife, Mary; and brother, Wally.   He is survived by his sister, Joann;, brother, Ted; son, Jeff; daughter-in-law, Tammy; grandsons, Kellan (Bailey) and Kristofer Stenhaug; two great-grandsons, Cayden and Grayson; and great-granddaughter, Olivia.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions for the amazing care they gave during his final moments.

“How lucky are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
