Dennis R. McHattie

September 14, 1954 – March 8, 2021

His favorite time was the hour before dawn emerges while he glides across the still morning lake waters with a good cup of coffee and the anticipation of getting on the fish.

Dennis McHattie passed on March 8, 2021. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. His life work encompassed many adventures from wiring a house with his dad, serving in the Navy Nuclear Division, caring for patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

As an avid Gardner and promising Beekeeper, a bag of tomatoes or jar of honey usually ended up in a friend’s hands when they came to visit.

Dennis lived in Casper Wyoming most of his life. He loved Babe Ruth baseball and softball where he built lifelong friendships.

Dennis is lovingly remembered by his wife Sheila. His children Emily Benton and Daniel Hayes. His grandchildren Mathew and Elizabeth. His twin sister Betty (Bud) Naylor. His niece Jessica Flores and nephew Zac Toman. Dennis loved his dog Addy, and cats Rusty and Ruby.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Richard and Sarah McHattie. His aunt and uncles; Dorthy (Larry) Rhodes, and Donald (Libby) McHattie.

Dennis would love it if you would send your best wishes and support to your local student baseball or softball programs. He would say, “Keep your trolling motors running and we will see you on the other side.” Brains.
