"Dennis Wilding Emery, 84, of Casper, WY peacefully passed into the loving arms of his Father in Heaven, on the morning of April 15, 2019 at the Kloefkorn Home of Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions. He and his wife, Barbara, had resided in Casper for 34 years. Dennis was born March 13, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ida Hill Wilding and George Rhodes Emery and was raised with his sisters, Effie Florence (Flo) and Linda Jo, in Rexburg, Idaho. Dennis married Vionia Burrell and had three children, Cindy, George, and Scott. Dennis left the Rexburg and Idaho Falls area and moved to Palmer, Alaska where he met and married Barbara Eloise Hudgins on May 8, 1964 and became step-father to her 4 children, Keith, Diane, Daniel and Kimberly Bentti. Together they had four more children, Ida Christine, Darla, Benjamin, and Aaron. The family resided in the Mat-Su Valley, Alaska; Boise, Idaho; and Casper, Wyoming as Dennis served the community as a butcher and meat-market worker. He cherished most his time in his later career at Dan's Meat Processing in Casper where he processed wild game and shared his talents and stories with the team and customers. His free time was spent trolling for fish with his dear friend, Toy Fong on Alcova Reservoir where fish were caught and fish stories were spun. Dennis was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities within the church, quietly doing his part to love and support his brothers and sisters in the church. He was commonly found with a pocket full of Werther's hard candies to give out during Sunday service and will be remembered for his giving spirit. Denny is survived by his loving companion, Barb; his sons, George (Amy) of Surprise, AZ; Scott (Brenda) of Idaho Falls, ID; Keith Bentti of Wasilla, AK; Daniel (Marcie) Bentti of Palmer, AK; Benjamin (Brigette) of Salt Lake City, UT; and Aaron (Sarah) of Casper, WY; Daughters Diane (John) Roe of Fairbanks, AK; Kimberly (Josh) Mendenhall of Fox, AK; Ida Christine Dauge of Caliente, NV; Darla (Darin) Homer of Casper, WY; Sister Flo Potter of Idaho Falls, ID; 28 grandchildren many beautiful great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
