David Meek

Memorial services for David Edward "Duke" Meek will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Inurnment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Meek, 77, passed away May 23, 2015 in Casper, Wyoming. He was born May 28, 1937 in Kilgore, Texas. He attended Arkansas Tech. He served in the Unites States Army in the 60's. Mr. Meek married Freda Lavern Meek on December 30, 1962 in Morrilton, Arkansas. He worked as an Assistant Superintendent for F/SST Energy, retiring in 2009. Duke enjoyed hard work, saying "Hard work is the best health remedy there is." He is survived by his sons, David and Christopher, both of Bar Nunn, granddaughters Caylah Meek, Kindel Meek and Cynthia Meek also of Bar Nunn, daughter-in-laws, Shawna Meek and Kerry Meek of Bar Nunn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda, father, Thurman Meek, mother, Ruth Meek, brother, Bobby Meek and sister, Barbara Meek. Condolences for the family may left at bustardsfuneralhome.com.
