David Perry Long 70, of Casper, WY passed away March 21, 2016 in Casper, WY. He was born May 6, 1945 in Thermopolis, WY to Etta Lucille Leggett and Perry David Long. He grew up and attended high school in Riverton, WY and went onto become a welding teacher. In October of 1966 David married the love of his life Glynda Jean in Riverton, WY. He also proudly served in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. David was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He also much enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting, camping and taking to the open road on his motorcycle. Surviving him are his children Brad (Rauni) Long, and Amanda Long all of Casper; his grandsons, Jordon and Jacob Long also of Casper; and his brothers, Neal Long of Colorado Springs, CO and Ray Long of Gillette, WY. David is preceded by his parents, Perry and Etta Long; his wife Glynda; brother Sandy Long; and sister Viola Tressler-Clark. Memorial services for David will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday March 25, 2016 at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery. Military funeral honors will be accorded. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.
