It was with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Leroy Garner. He left this world to be with God June 26, 2014 after a terrible fall. David was born November 9, 1956 to Leroy and Loretta Garner. He grew up in Casper with his two sister's Linda and Sam. David has joined the Army Reserves in 1987 and was honorably discharged in 1995. David married Leas Phillips in the summer of 1974 and together they had his only son, Dustin Garner. They later divorced and David married Valarie King in June of 1977, they later divorced. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being with friends and family. He had spent the last three months of his life taking care of his mom as his father Bob Foreman had passed away just three short months ago. David is surrounded by his mom; Loretta Foreman, his sisters; Sam (John) McClleland and Linda (Chuck) Classed, his son; Dustin (Shawna) Garner, niece; Kaylee (Ian) McClleland, nephews; Frederick (Joanna) Schott, Curtis (Lori) Ferris and grandchildren; Brandon Debyah and Emily Garner. We cannot forget about David's best pals, Big Red, Hillary, those darn geese and his cat Dexter. He is preceded in death by his father's Leroy Garner and Bob Foreman. Memorial services for David will be held 10:00am, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery in Evansville, WY. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Any condolences may be sent to the Casper Humane Society or Hospice.
