David Lee Anderson Sr., 74, of Casper, Wyoming, went to be with the Lord Feb. 13th, 2023, after long hard battle with cancer & heart failure. He fought courageously; He went to work every day with a smile on his face & happy to see everyone.
Dave was born July 27, 1948, in Denver Colorado and was raised in Winner, South Dakota by his parents, Ray & Georgina Anderson. He was a phenomenal Football player & excelled in Track & Field. He broke many states records & continues to hold a few to this day. In his youth he built an Orange 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air from the ground up, He was very proud of that build. He was an interstate truck driver when he met the love of his life, Jeannie. They were married a few short months later. They were married for 45 years at the time of Jeannie's passing. They started their own business, Anderson's Carpet Cleaning in 1971 & has been in continuous operation for 52 years. He was an avid golfer & competitively golfed on a men's league for the Casper Municipal Golf Course. Dave never met a stranger. He would give anyone a place to stay, a job, money or the shirt off his back. At the time of his passing, he attended Highland Park Community Church, were he reveled in being a Greeter. He was definitely a people person. He got up & went to work every single day, no matter what. He had an amazing work ethic. He loved the work he did & all the people he met through the years. He was fun & everyone liked him. Dave was a good man.
Dave is preceded in death by his wife Jeannie Anderson, his parents Ray & Gorgie Anderson, in-laws Guy & June Sidwell & Step-son Robb Webber. Dave is survived by his children David Anderson Jr. & Daughters Samantha Capshaw & Tammy Saulsbury, Brother & Sister in-law Richard & Donna Sidwell. Grandchildren; Ryan Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Lance Capshaw, Sarah Saulsbury & John Saulsbury Jr., Nathane Webber, Samantha McCleardy & Natalie Webber. Sisters Linda kline & Joan Davis, brother Derry Anderson, along with many cousins, nieces & nephews who he loved each and everyone one of them very much.
He loved his pets, so any donation or charitable gift can be made to your local animal shelter in his name.
Visitation will take place Monday Feb 20th from 4-6pm at Bustard & Jacoby Funerals 600 CY Ave. His funeral will take place Tuesday February 21st at 11am at Highland Park Community Church 5725 Highland Dr. Followed by graveside service at Highland Cemetery 1860 E. 12th Street.
