There may finally be some Walleye left for the rest of you because, unfortunately, Daniel “Dan” M. Wood passed away on May 20th 2024 from natural causes. Dan was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, and grew up in Missoula, Montana, but Wyoming was where he chose to make his home. He was an avid outdoorsman who was happiest in the wilderness, hunting, trapping, fishing, woodworking, camping, and boating.
Dan was intelligent, funny, charismatic, strong-willed, loyal, and steadfast. He was a collector. He collected adventures, arrowheads, skills, and techniques to make him a better survivalist, good friends, and a few hearts along the way. He was closest with the people in his life who shared his passions.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Tess Burridge. He was a father, son, brother, uncle, and a dear friend who will be deeply missed by loved ones and all of the fish at Pathfinder who got so used to seeing his face over the years. There will be a small celebration of his life on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at 12:30 pm at Bishops Point, Pathfinder reservoir.
