Daniel Robert Swope

  Daniel Robert Swope was 48 years of age in Casper, Wyoming and passed away on April 29th in Casper, Wyoming.

  Daniel was born in Wurzburg, Germany to Randy Swope and Sherry Westmoreland on May 22 of 1974. He attended Largo High School in Largo, Florida and pursued his GED from there. Daniel went on to earn his realtor license in Casper, followed closely by earning his broker license. He worked for several real estate firms in Casper before pursuing his own business as a real estate broker.

  Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, he felt most at home in the mountains with a beer and/or pipe in his hand, wearing his favorite cowboy hat. Dan could be the friendliest person you ever met and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed helping those less fortunate than him and donated his time cooking and delivering meals for many people around Casper. He especially enjoyed cooking for his family and always made sure everyone was fed, and then overfed. Dan’s ultimate dream was to live the cowboy life on a ranch here in Wyoming.

  Dan’s pride and joy was his children. As far as he was concerned there were no better, smarter, or more beautiful kids in the world. He would be the first to tear up and the first to brag when it came to his kids. There was nothing more precious to him in his life than family. When Dan departed this life he was born into a different one. Dan’s family looks forward to seeing him in the next life. As his family says “Go then, there are other worlds than these”.

  Daniel is survived by his father, Randy Swope, and mother, Sherry Westmoreland. Dan is survived by his four children, Justin Swope of Ocala, Florida, and IvyJean, DaniRose, and Russell Swope of Casper Wyoming. Along with Justin’s mother Dawn Baker, IvyJean’s mother Calista Chavis, and Dani and Russell’s mother Jamie Hett. That includes his two brothers, Matt Swope and Aaron Swope and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and more family members who all loved and were loved in return by Daniel.

  Bustard’s Funeral Directors will be hosting a celebration of life for Daniel Swope on Friday, May 26th at 2:00 pm. to be officiated by family and friends. The family looks forward to seeing all who knew Daniel stop by, pay your respects, and share a story or memory you have. Daniel would love the idea of people sharing and telling stories about him, all are welcome who knew “Dan the Man”.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00pm at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home Reception Center.
