Dan Lewis Chandler, 89 years, found his freedom from Alzheimer's October 26, 2015 at Life Care Center of Casper. He was born September 23, 1926 in Dalhart, Texas to Willie Mae and Tom Chandler. He was raised and educated in various towns in Texas. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from high school in McKinney, Texas. He came to Casper, Wyoming in 1950 and worked for W.A. Posy Welding and Electric Service. He later started his own company with Herb Troll, Statewide Electric, which they operated for 17 years until Dan's retirement. He married Dolores Tech at Trinity Lutheran Church in Casper in 1955. They raised four children - David (Kate) of Denver, Michael of Houston, Gloria (Zack) Szekely of Casper, and Brian (Lisa) of Casper. They were married 60 years. After retiring Dan and Dolores enjoyed traveling. They went on numerous tours in and out of the United States. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, children, four grandchildren, and a sister in Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Friday, October 30, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Holthus officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard..
