CYNTHIA WALTERS Cynthia R. Walters, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 1, 2015. She was born Jan. 17, 1940, to Alcarita and Paul Velasquez, in Rocky Ford, Colo. Cynthia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne; sons, Randy and John; sister, Leilani; brothers, Arthur and Robert; granddaughter, Kansas; and great-grandchildren, Baylee and Brandon. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Burial will be in Casper, Wyo at Highland Cemetery on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00PM. "God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around her and whispered 'come with Me.' With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away, although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
