Craig Cundy

Services for Craig J. Cundy, 55, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Reverend Dee Lundberg officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26th at Bustard's. Craig passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2017. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend. A person who would go the extra mile to make sure others were taken care of. His dry sense of humor and quick wit will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Born in Casper, WY on September 28, 1961 to Robert "Bob" and Verna (Dudrey) Cundy, Craig attended school in Casper, graduating in 1980 from Kelly Walsh High School. He enrolled at National College in Rapid City, SD where he earned his Business Administration degree. He came back to Casper and worked side by side with his Dad in the family business, Bob's Production Service. Seeing the need for oilfield welders/fabricators, Craig returned to school at Casper College and achieved his Certified Welding certificate. As the oil business declined in Wyoming, he worked as a pipeliner for L.E. Bell. He enjoyed his time on the road with the "Bama Boys". Craig acquired the love of bowling in his youth and he continued participating in leagues throughout his adult life. He enjoyed riding his dirt and trials bikes and was planning on getting his Harley going after the long winter. Camping, fishing and boating were also pleasures of his. Craig was Dad to Kersten and Logan. Upon becoming a single-parent, he remained in Casper working as a contract welder for Halliburton for over 15 years. Thanks to the internet and a lot of determination, he re-connected with his high school sweetheart, Dawn Marchak. They were married in June of 2007, and in addition to a new bride, he gained step-sons, Christopher and Cody. Those left to mourn Craig are his wife Dawn, daughter Kersten, son Logan, mother Verna, sister Pam, step-sons Christopher and Cody, niece Emily (David) Collins and their girls, his constant companions Baxter and Kelsey (beloved Border Collies), along with everyone whose life he touched. Greeting him in Heaven are his dad Bob (2009), maternal and paternal Grandparents, many relatives and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to 12/24 Club, 500 S. Wolcott, Casper, WY 82601, or Casper Humane Society, 1849 East "E" Street, Casper, WY 82601.
