Craig Brandon

August 17, 1947 — April 10, 2018

It is with tears in our eyes, pride in his fight and confidence in his newfound home, that the family of Craig Steven Brandon invite his many friends and family to join us in the celebration of his extraordinary life on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:00p.m., at Restoration Church, 411 S. Walsh Dr.; Casper. Pastor Justin Limmer and Dr. Dale Sides will be officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery at 1541 E. 4th St.; Casper. Bustards Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Craig Steven Brandon was born August 17, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to Gail (Center) and Grant Godfrey Brandon. Craig left this world on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at home under the tender love and care of his wife, sons and many other family members and friends into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior to spend eternity praising and loving Him. Craig served in the National Guard from 1969-1972. Craig received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Franklin University in 1970. Craig was a very knowledgeable businessman. Craig made Casper his home in 1979 and remained in Casper until the time of his earthly departure. Craig began his own business of Brandon Homes and Remodeling and later owned Carpet Creations (Flooring America), "the largest flooring specialty retail store in Wyoming," from 1983 through 2017 when he retired. Craig became a Pastor on staff at Faith Assembly of God in 2009 and later became a mentor and a confident to many churches in Casper and Arizona working diligently to unite the Body of Christ. Craig lived a very successful life and continuously gave all glory to God for his success. Craig served as the President of Servants United, the President of Gideon's West Camp, was a member of the Rotary Club and served as a friend, supporter, and place of encouragement to many pastors, family members, employees and friends. Craig was married to Karen Madsen in 1987 and they later divorced. Two sons were born as a gift from this union. Being a father to his sons Steven "Cole" Brandon and Kyle Matthew Brandon became Craig's greatest pride and joy. The love Craig had for his sons was limitless and his pride in them was untouchable. He loved the time he spent camping, traveling, snow-mobiling, fishing and teaching Cole and Kyle. Craig worked very hard to impart to his sons the love of God and the importance of serving Him as well as the values of integrity, compassion and reliability. After having been a single father for several years, Craig met Diane (Cox-Clark) in 2003. Craig was given the insight from God very early into their relationship that Diane was the woman he would marry. Craig married Diane, the love of his life on November 13, 2004 in Casper, Wyoming. Together, Craig and Diane found a love in each other with God as their foundation that would stand against every test this life could bring. Craig's marriage to Diane brought him 3 step-children: Damond, Rachael and Joshua Clark along with grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. Craig and Diane bought a second home in Arizona where they met some lifelong friends and Craig continued working with churches and advising Pastors on their winter escapes from Wyoming. Craig and Diane loved each other through every challenge and battle that was thrown at them in Craig's 9-year fight against cancer. Craig was victorious in this battle from the first day of his diagnosis as he and Diane looked to God for direction and followed His lead. Diane loved, nurtured, supported and took care of Craig in every step of this journey until it was time for her to "walk him home." Craig was a man of God, a generous contributor to many organizations and churches, and an outstanding mentor and friend to all who knew him. Craig was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Niko Clark. Craig is survived by his wife, Diane Brandon; his sons, Cole and Kyle Brandon; his step-children: Damond (Janel), Rachael and Joshua Clark, his grandchildren: Christopher (Minda), Kehlin (Schpri), Lucas (Brittney), Tyler (Ashley), Kaleb, Haley, Ryan, Sierra, Riley and Paityn along with 7 great-grandchildren, his brothers Scott (Diana) and Jeff Brandon and numerous cousins, friends and others who were as close to him as family. Memorials may be made in Craig's honor to local Gideon Organizations. .
