Clyde Farnes peacefully passed away on August 13, 2013 at the age of 80. He was born July 24, 1933 in Broadview, Montana to Oscar and Leora (Cramer) Farnes. Clyde was the 7th of 9 children and spent his childhood in Montana and South Dakota as a ranch kid. He graduated from Buffalo High School in Buffalo, South Dakota in 1951. After high school, Clyde joined the military and served in Seoul Korea as an MP from 1953-1955. Upon returning home from his service he met Deanna Brokens and were wed January 20, 1956 in Roundup, MT. Clyde worked in the oil industry prior to settling in Casper, WY in the early 60's. He went to work for the Natrona County School District as an electrician where he retired after 31 years. Clyde loved the outdoors and enjoyed sharing his love of nature with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed bowling, darts, and pool. Clyde was a lifetime member of the VFW 9439. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Florence and his brothers, Raleigh, Harold, Harry, Orville, Bob and Bill. He is survived by his wife, Deanna, of 57 years, four children, Connie Gish of Seattle, Mike (Terri) Farnes, Greg Farnes and Pamela Miller, all of Casper: a brother, Carl Gene (Irene) of Texas, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
