On May 19, 2012, Clyde W. Day, Jr., 89, of Richmond, Texas, passed away surrounded by those who loved him deeply. Clyde was born August 21, 1922 in Long Pine, Nebraska. He was a graduate of Natrona County High School, served in World War II, and worked in Casper for many years at the Mobil Oil Refinery. He was later transferred to the Mobil Oil Refinery in Paulsboro, New Jersey, where he later retired after 38 years of service. Clyde enjoyed camping, fishing, and strolling the beautiful beaches of Destin, Florida. More recently Clyde relocated to Richmond, Texas, to be close to his son, daughter in-law and grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mamie Day, and siblings Bonnie, Barton, Delbert, Kyle, Lew, Lloyd and Lynn Day. Clyde is survived by his wife and life long sweetheart of 64 years, Betty (Priess) Day, son, Ronald Day, grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle Day, all of Richmond, Texas, and brother, Robert Day, of Casper. A memorial service will be held honoring Clyde on Thursday, May 31, 2012, 2:00 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home, 600 CY Avenue, Casper, Wyoming, followed by a burial at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Fl, New York, New York 10001.
