Mass of Christian Burial for Cleo Thein will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 9, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church by Fr. August Koeune. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Vigil for the Deceased will be recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Bustard's. Rite of Committal will be conducted at Highland Cemetery. Cleo passed away peacefully on July 4, 2010, surrounded by her family at the Kloefkorn Hospice Home in Casper. Cleo was born in Mora, New Mexico on January 18, 1933, the daughter of Benjamin and Maclovia Cisneros. The family moved to Riverton, Wyoming in 1936. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1951. After graduation, Cleo moved to Casper, Wyoming where she worked for Krampert & Krampert. On April 24, 1954 she married Bill Thein at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton, Wyoming. They lived in Casper where the couple raised their three children. Cleo was a stay at home mom while her children were young. In 1970 Cleo returned to work for Union Oil Company in the Union Energy Division as an executive secretary. She continued her education by taking evening classes at Casper College. While employed by Union Energy, she was a member of the American Business Women's Association (Teal Chapter) where she served as Bulletin Chairman and President. She was also a member of Desk & Derrick of Casper. After her retirement from Union Oil, she was a bookkeeper for various businesses. She also worked with English Language Learners at Grant Elementary School in Glenrock, Wyoming. Cleo loved spending time at Alcova Lake with her family. Playing bridge, participating in Bible study groups, and exercising were other activities that she enjoyed. She was a volunteer for Hospice and helped with funeral dinners at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She loved music, dancing and traveling with friends and family. However, most of all, her family will remember her as being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Cleo is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter, Kathy Christensen and her husband John in Casper, daughter, Becky Sadler and her husband Greg in Denver, son, Ron Thein in Denver and seven grandchildren. Her two sisters, Emma Hawley and Mabel Perea, plus many nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Fred, William and Max Cisneros. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions Program.
