Long time Casper resident, Cliff (Cliffy) Rogers, 78, went to his Maker, November 28, 2017, at Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Center. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sunrise Baptist Church, 3990 South McKinley, Casper, Wyoming. He and his twin brother, Gene, were born December 3, 1938 in Lusk, Wyoming, the sons of Omer and Virginia Rogers. The family moved to Casper when Cliff was three years old. Cliff attended Lincoln School and Natrona County High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1967. He married Shirley Michelena in 1968 and they had two children, Monet and Duaine. Cliff worked delivering beer for Budweiser, Dave Addy Auctioneer, Drilling Enterprises and owned his own business, CR Inspection. He belonged to the Ironworkers Union 454 and was a lifelong member of the Elks. After Cliff retired he enjoyed welding crazy creatures and selling his yard art at the Farmers Market, Flea Market, and Antique Shows. Survivors include his wife Shirley, daughters Machelle Nutt of Oregon, and Monet Hixson (Mike) of Casper and son, Duaine Rogers (Holly) of Casper. Grandchildren, Brittany Wittler (Jason), Brady Hixson, Conner Rogers, Tyler Boor, and Emily Boor and great-granddaughter, Emily Wittler, all of Casper and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Virginia Rogers, twin brother, Gene Rogers and brother, Neil Rogers. Memorials in memory of Cliff may be made to Casper League Baseball, P.O. Memorial Services with military honors will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018. His urn will be placed at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
