CLAUD FRANK PICKARD, 77, loving husband and father was born in Sumatra, Montana on November 1st, 1936. He entered Heaven's gates to be with his Lord and Savior on November 14th, 2013. Funeral services for Claud, a resident of Casper, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 18th, 2013 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2300 East 15th Street, Casper, WY 82609. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, 1860 E. 12th St., Casper, Wy. A reception will be held at Prince of Peace after interment. The family will greet friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory, 600 CY Ave., Casper, WY. Claud was the son of Claud Dennis and Violet Pickard and had four sisters (Vena, Colleen, Alice and Betty, and one brother (William). Claud was class president and graduated from Custer County High School (Miles City, Montana) in 1954. He dated Mildred Ann Lilienthal for several years before they were married on June 8, 1957 starting a 56 year marriage. Claud received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Montana School of Mines (Butte, Montana) in May, 1959. He immediately went to work for Schlumberger Wireline Services in Great Falls, Montana, was transferred to Glendive, Montana, progressed to Depot Manager and passed the Professional? Engineering Examination (becoming a Registered Professional Engineer in Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming). In 1964, he went to work for Montana Dakota Utilities, Co. (MDU), was transferred to Bismarck, North Dakota in 1968 when they opened the new corporate headquarters and progressed to become the companies Manager of Gas supplies. After working for MDU for 14 years, he consulted as an independent Petroleum Engineer and then joined the True Oil Company in 1979 (Casper, Wyoming). Over the next �25 years, Claud advanced in his roles at True Oil eventually becoming the Manager of True Oil Company in 1995 and retired as the Manager in 2006. He was a "Recognized" member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers for over 50 years. With all of his professional success, Claud did not ignore his family life. He and Mildred were blessed with four children (Claud Dennis, Marcus Jay, Marilyn Ann, and Thomas Stephen). He was actively involved in supporting their schooling, extra-curricular activities and finding time for special educational and entertaining family vacations. With their guidance, all four children obtained Bachelorette degrees. Claud and Mildred eagerly anticipated and enthusiastically shared their enjoyment of amusement parks (Disneyland/Knott's Berry Farm & SeaWorld) with both their children and grandchildren. Claud is survived by his children and spouses; Claud(Mary) Pickard, Katy, TX, Marcus(Lanae) Pickard, Casper, WY, Marilyn(Paul) Barrella, Casper, WY, and Thomas(Julie) Pickard; thirteen loving grandchildren (Bethany Pickard (Weiler), Brittany Pickard, Bretlynn Pickard (Stark), Danny Pickard, David Pickard, Nathaniel Barella, Jonathan, Barella, Jennifer Barella, Megan Barella, Katherine Barella, Stephanie Barella, Anthony Barella, Natalie Barella): Four great-grandchildren (Isabell Barella, Sebastian Barella, Arlyn Barella, Nora Stark); 3 sisters (Vena Fitzgerald, Sedro Woolley, WA, Colleen Malek, Billings, Montana, and Alice(Marlyn) Janssen, Miles City, Montana). Claud was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Maier in 1965, and his brother, William Pickard in 1988.
