Clarence Heede

June 28, 1928 — July 10, 2016

Clarence Earl Van Den Heede, 88, a long-time resident of Casper, WY, passed away from congestive heart failure with family by his side at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home on July 10, 2016. Clarence was born June 28, 1928, in Sherwood, OR, to Leatta (Boston) and Clarence Van Den Heede. He grew up in Oregon and later became a veteran of the Korean War, where he earned a Bronze Star as an Army Sergeant 1st Class. After an honorable discharge he married Elizabeth (Betty) Dittebrandt in November of 1952 in Multnomah County, Oregon. Later he married Doris (Partridge) Norris in December of 1985 in Casper, WY. Clarence traveled the US, Canada and internationally as a pipe inspector for the Seattle/Tacoma Box Company. He was active Kiwanis member and enjoyed supporting charities. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Betty and Doris, daughter-in-law Sharon Norris, and grandchild Natasha. He was survived by children, Dav Van Den Heede and Arlene Lincoln, step-children Monty (Annabelle) Norris, Charles (Cindy) Norris, Robert Norris, and Mary (Jim) Farnsworth, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home at 2 PM Thursday, July 14th, followed by a reception at the VFW on Bryan Stock Trail in Casper, WY. Burial will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, at 3 PM on Friday, July 15th. The family asks in lieu of flowers please make a donations to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions (319 S. Wilson Casper, WY, 82601) or to the US Veterans.
