Christy Tatro

A majestic branch has fallen from our family tree. On December 3rd, 2015, Christy Ann (Carstens) Tatro was called to heaven after a brief illness due to cancer. Christy was born on August 17, 1960 in Thermopolis, WY to her parents Francis and Sandra Carstens. The family moved to Casper where she was raised. She married Ronald Tatro on September 17, 1996. They were the true picture of opposites, but they complemented each other in such a profound way, and solidified a bond that will never be broken and will last beyond life on this earth. Christy was the proud mother of six children; Jennifer (Cheyenne), Angela (Laramie), Syerra, Dezirea, Ivory and Stormy (all of Casper). She is survived by her husband, six children, father Francis "Fritz" Carstens, brother William, sister Sherry, and many nieces, nephews, and a very large extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother Sandra and her grandparents. Christy was the true master of managing tasks, organizing the troops, and keeping the family in line. She was immersed in her children's life, staying busy with school and all their various activities, and seeing to their every wish and need. She was passionate about her family first and foremost, horses, genealogy, traveling, reading, and photography. Pepsi was her rocket fuel, and she never slowed down or lost her zest for life. The family will have a Memorial Service on December 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mount Hope Lutheran Church. Graveside services will immediately follow. A reception will be held after at Mount Hope Lutheran Church. Donations in her honor may be made to the Southridge Elementary School PTA, the GoFundMe set up in Christy's name, or Hilltop National Bank to help support the Tatro Family.
