Charlotte Barton

February 15, 1949 — August 16, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Charlotte Irene Barton. Charlotte was born February 15, 1949 in Casper, WY to Wesley and Oma Corson and passed away August 16, 2015 at the age of only 66. On November 15, 1968 she married her best friend, partner, and love of her life Jerry Barton in Casper, WY. Together they raised 2 children. She and her husband owned and operated Barton Transportation which they grew into a successful career but Charlotte always devoted her life to her family and their home. Being a mother and wife filled her heart with immense pride and joy. As is the case with all mothers she watched her children grow and change into incredible adults who married and started families of their own. Becoming a grandmother made Charlotte feel complete. She and Jerry were always very active and present in the lives of their children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Charlotte loved with every ounce of her being and always made the people (and cats and dogs) in her life know they were deeply loved. She was a member of TOPS and Oil Capital Auto Club. You could almost bet that you could find her listening to Elvis as she worked on various crafting projects. Her favorite vacation spot was, where else, but Graceland in Memphis, TN. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Jerry Barton of Casper; her son, Greg (Debbie) Barton of South Jordan, UT; her daughter Brandy Barton of Casper; mother, Oma Corson of Mills; granddaughters, Tylo Barton of Boise, ID, and Grace Barton of Casper; grandson, Jacob Barton of South Jordan, UT; brothers, Roger Corson of Casper, and Al (Velma) Corson of Mills; sister-in-law, Pat Corson of Phoenix, AZ; brother and sister-in-laws, Robert (Donna) Barton, Nancy Barton, Sandra (Lee) Ownby; brother - in-law Richard Barton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Corson; sister, Maxine Horton; brother, Smokey Corson; brother-in-law, Roger Barton; and sister-in-law, Sue Corson. Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
