Charles Perkins

Charles T. Perkins, "Chuck", died on February 22, 2019 in Casper Wyoming, at the age of 74. Chuck was born in Basin Wyoming to Ida Vivian (Thompson) and Charles Preator Perkins, on March 13,1944. Chuck attended grade school in Basin Wy and graduated from Riverton High School in 1962. Chuck married Paulette (Polly) Pirrie, in 1964 in Cody Wyoming, after meeting at the University of Wyoming. They have had homes in Laramie, Riverton, Crowheart and Casper Wyoming. Chuck grew up loving the great outdoors, and was raised in Basin and the Gas Hills. Chuck worked in the Gas Hills for Union Carbide, and in Riverton at PureGrow, Radio Shack, then moved to Crowheart WY. where he was a ranch manager for the Lazy TF ranch. After moving to Casper, Chuck attended Casper College, obtaining a Machinist Degree and worked for Woodward's Machine. Chuck had been a member of the Casper Shooting Club and was an avid rock hunter. He also enjoyed knot tying and making walking sticks. He loved being outdoors camping, sailing, and 4 wheeling throughout Wyoming. He taught his children and grandchildren to love and appreciate Wyoming. Chuck is survived by his wife, Polly Perkins of Casper WY, son, Jon Perkins (Susan) of Cheyenne Wy, daughter, Lora Underberg (Greg) of Douglas Wy, grandchildren, Justin Perkins, Lauryn Perkins, Blaine Underberg (Holley), Jessie Underberg, Nathan Underberg, and great grand daughters Chloe Baker, Macie Baker, and Tylee Underberg. He is preceded in death by his sister Georgia, and his parents, Charles and Ida Perkins. There will be no services. Chuck's family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
