Charles Wilford King, age 95, passed away at Wyoming Medical Center on November 16, 2017. He was born June 5, 1922 in Woodson Co., KS to Charlie and Etta Fay (Clark) King. He grew up in Humboldt, KS and graduated from Humboldt High. Charles served his country in the US Army Air Corps between 1942 and 1946 in the Marshall Islands. In 1946, he married Dorothy Eloise Crawford in Tulsa, OK. The couple moved to Casper in 1947 and Charles began his career as an electrician at Service Pipeline, later known as AMOCO, retiring after 38 years. Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy King, of Casper; daughter, Andrea King, of Casper; daughter, Beverly (Jim) Weiser, of Ft. Collins, CO; grandsons, Dr. Michael (Caryn) Weiser and Joshua Weiser; and great grandchildren, Kylie and Cole Weiser. He was preceded in death by daughter, Joanna King. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. Memorial contributions in Charles' name may be made to Meals on Wheels, The Veterans' Home of Wyoming in Buffalo, WY, or to the American Red Cross. Charles was recognized for donating over 7 gallons of blood in his lifetime.
