Charles (Charley) L. Crawford embarked on his final rig down & stack out Sunday November 10, 2019. He was born January 22, 1930 to Violet Boyd & Charles (Butch) L. Crawford in Salina KS. He was raised by his dad and his grandparents on a farm outside of Natoma KS.
He married his beloved wife, Lucille, on November 1, 1969 in Lyons KS.
Later, he moved to Wyoming where he continued a career that spanned over 60 years in oilfield transport, Charley finished his career spending 20 years working for Richardson Trucking.
Charley is survived by his wife, Lucille, children Charles (Diane) Crawford & Dee (Ted) Richards, stepchildren Ken (Tracey) Messick & Marvin (Tina) Harmon, his brothers Ed (Nancy) Crawford & Jim Crawford as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his four-legged buddy Bandit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and stepdaughter Connie Kelley.
Through the years Charley has made a lot of friends and acquaintances, most recently being the staff and residents at Garden Square Assisted Living. He was a member of Boyd Avenue Baptist Church.
He will be laid to rest with his mother and grandparents in Paradise, KS.
Services will be held Friday November 15th at 1:00 pm at Bustards Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Tharp officiating. Reception to follow at Bustards Banquet Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Charley's name to Boyd Avenue Baptist Church.
