Charlene Bertagnole

Charlene Bertagnole, 79, died on January 23, 2018 at her home in Casper, Wyoming. She was born on May 6, 1938 in Casper. She lived in Casper most of her life and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1957. She met Leland Bertagnole at church and they married in 1959. They had one daughter, Connie. Charlene worked in the operating room of the Memorial Hospital of Natrona County (Wyoming Medical Center) for the anesthesia department. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many positions such as Relief Society Secretary, Primary teacher, and Young Women's secretary. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Charlene loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She loved going camping and spending time at the family's cabin on Casper Mountain. She enjoyed gardening (especially roses), collecting and writing poetry, reading, collecting porcelain dolls and cooking. Charlene had an outgoing personality and was known for her smile and sense of humor. She liked to make people happy, especially at Christmas time. She and Leland joyfully celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on December 11, 2017. Charlene is survived by her husband Leland, her daughter and son-in-law Connie and George Hepworth, and her three special grandchildren Leland, Lindsay, and Lyle. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Casper Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 3931 W. 45thStreet in Casper. The viewing will be at 9 a.m. prior to the funeral services. .
