Cerella Elizabeth Denke Overgard, 84, died in Casper Wyoming on May 20, 2018. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Cerella was born on July 26, 1933 in Pierre South Dakota, daughter of Reinhold and Rose Denke. On September 3, 1953, Cerella married Edwin Salmer Overgard, who proceeded her in death. Mrs Overgard was nominated for the Wyoming Jefferson award in 2011. She was a 4-H leader for over 50 years, and also served as the supervisor of the poultry barn at the Fremont County Fair. She served as the VFW President where she instituted a student of the month in Riverton and also placed flags at the veterans graves each Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Cerella and Ed bought a farm at 155 Zigzag road in 1963 and another in North Portal in 1971. She drove bus for Pavilion and Wind River High Schools for many years. Cerella is survived by LeeRee Victoria Sutler of Texas, Yola Gwen Marsh of Colorado and Tait Weston Overgard of Wyoming, two brothers Marvin and Byron Denke of South Dakota, Grandchildren: Dusten Overgard Nathan Sutler, Jennifer Sutler Felton, Tyler Overgard, Chelsa Overgard Zimbelman. Great Grandchildren: Corinthia Felton, Shiloh Felton, Lucas Felton, Taylor Overgard, Gabriel Overgard, and Marshal Zimbelman. Memorials in her name may be sent to the Frontier health and hospice who helped with her care. Her family asks that you share time with your family and loved ones in the memory of a special lady.
