Cecile Carlson

Cecile Francis Carlson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed in her sleep on January 30, 2018. Cecile is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Lena Walker, and her husband of 55 years, Gordon G. Carlson. She is survived by her three sons, Larry, Bob, and Dan, along with eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. "Cil" was an energetic, outgoing woman who was known for making things happen. She never took "no" for an answer and was frequently the pivotal figure when things needed to be done. But she never let this drive get in the way of being an honest, caring, and compassionate human being. She was admired, respected, and loved by a great many people. She worked many years as a secretary and bookkeeper and later in life transitioned into hotel management. While her drive made her successful in all she did, she would be the first to say her main mission in life, and greatest accomplishment was in being a loving and caring wife and mother. She will be sadly missed. It is requested that a small donation be made to Central Wyoming Hospice in Cil's name. The care and love shown by Kelly and Felecia and the rest of the staff is greatly appreciated by her family and friends. Viewing will be Sunday, February 4th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bustard's Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 5th at Bustard's Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeff Matney officiating. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville.
