CATHERINE LORETTA (CAMPBELL) KERCHER FEBRUARY 27, 1917- SEPTEMBER 15,2018 A celebrated Mass for Catherine Kercher (101) will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church with the Father Thomas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM. At 7 PM, Beta Sigma Phi will hold a service, followed immediately by a Rosary. Catherine slipped away from her earthly home into eternal rest on Sept 15th. Catherine was born Feb 27, 1917 in Jamestown, ND of parents Ruth (Westlake) Campbell and Hugh Campbell. The family moved to Casper in 1927. She graduated from NCHS in 1934. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for a steel company until her marriage to Peter Kercher. They celebrated their 43 wedding anniversary just before Peter's death in 1982. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for 38 years at Memorial Hospital and Casper Clinic. She was a member of the Homecraft Extension Club, holding the presidency and all offices. She was also President of the Natrona County Extension. She was a member of St. Anthony's Mothers Club and was also their President for two terms. She belonged to the Hospital Auxiliary working as an Escort. She was a charter member of Our Lady of Fatima. She was a Lauriate Master member of Beta Sigma Phi. Her hobbies were the making of porcelain dolls and playing Canesta. Her most profound devotion was her love and caring for her family. She was an avid church member and worker, and she had a deep concern for the health and welfare of her many friends. Her family and friends celebrated her 100 Birthday party was a wonderful party at Primrose where she resided since 2005. She is survived by her daughter Connie McMillan, 3 grandchildren Shelly Weckwerth, Trisha Peters and Eric McMillan, 7 great grandsons, Chris, (Weckwerth), Ryan, Alex, Luke, Owen and Miles Peters, Landen and Layla McMillan, 3 sisters, Marion Balben, Myrtle Brophy, Anniline Peterson, brother, Hugh Campbell and 1 great granddaughter, many wonderful nieces and nephews of hers and her husbands. She was proceded in death by her parents, husband, baby Marvin Leroy, daughter Shirley, 3 sisters and a brother.
