Carol Elliott

Carol Ann Elliott (Maher), age 72, passed away on August 8, 2018 in Casper, Wyoming. She was born on February 24, 1946 in Casper to Edith Maher (Cashel) and Cecil Maher. She grew up in Casper and attended Natrona County High School then later moved to California with her 1st husband, Kenneth Bruce for 8 years. Together they had 2 children, Kimberly Bruce of Rochester, MN and Robert James Bruce who passed at birth. Carol lived in California for 31 years. She married 2nd husband, Richard Elliott. This marriage brought Carol 20 years with Richard and his 2 children, Keith and Kathy Elliott. Carol was a supervisor at Hancock Fabric's and Porcelain and Bronze in California where she obtained her abundant plate collection. Carol moved back to Casper where she worked as a Supervisor at Family Dollar Store and owned a cleaning business. In 2007 Carol suffered a stroke in Minnesota while visiting her daughter Kimberly and stayed for one year where she received treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and they were life saving. Carol then moved back to Casper and lived with her brother Steve Maher in Mills, Wyoming who helped and cared for her for over 20 years. She loved animals and also loved talking to people. She spent many hours on the phone talking with family and friends. Carol loved sending cards to everyone for every occasion, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas's, etc. Her gift of remembrance of such occasions will be greatly missed. Carol is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Bruce of Rochester, MN; grandson, Brian (Jami) Bruce of Coon Rapids, MN; great granddaughter, Alana Bruce; granddaughter, Breanna (Matt) Borth of Rochester, MN; and great grandchildren, Maddlynn Borth, Dylyn Borth, Calyn Borth, and Hazelynn Borth all of Rochester. Brothers, Steve Maher of Mills, WY and Ron Maher of Jasper, TX. Best friend, Fay Asbry of Utah and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Edith Maher of Casper; son, Robert James Bruce of Casper; Stepson; Keith Elliott of California; brothers, Bob Maher of Casper; and LeRoy Maher of California; sisters Donna Smith of Casper, Linda Rizzo of California and Sandi Clark all of Utah. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper with Pastor Dee Lundberg officiating. " I love you the mostest!"
