Carl Robert “Rob” Moon,Jr., 66, of Casper, WY, passed away on January 12, 2024.
Rob was born at the US Navel Base in Portsmouth, VA to Carl Robert, Sr. and Walterene (Farr) Moon on September 23, 1957. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Anaheim, CA in 1975. He attended college where he participated in football and weight lifting.
Carl began his career working at multiple Hamburger Stands, working his way up to Store Manager before bringing the franchise to Casper, WY. Rob was an avid scuba diver, world traveler, and a true supporter and collector of all things USA.
He was a loyal son, a devoted brother, and an incredible best friend. Although he had no children of his own, he was an amazing father figure and uncle to many lucky enough to know him.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles Herbert (Herb), and his best friends Del L’Hoste and Bryan Bowen.
He is survived by friends John Dickerson, Steve Gilbertson; his best friends’ widows Alice L’Hoste and Teresa Bowen and their children Kyra, Kevin, Keith, Michelle, Sarah, Amy, Camron and their children.
Rob was a kind and generous man with the biggest heart in the world and he will be sorely missed.
No services will be held; a private gathering will be held for family and close friends. Cremains will be buried with his dad in Gulf Port, MS, his brother in Rock Springs, WY and his best friend in Casper, WY.
Rob asked that memorials be made in his name to Poverty Resistance, 450 S. Wolcott, Casper, WY or a local charity of your choice.
