Carl Earl Gallinger, age 80, of Casper passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Wyoming Medical Center with his family by his side. Earl was born August 27, 1935 in Lander Wy, where he spent the majority of his childhood, though he also lived in Idaho and Colorado. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp from 1954 - 1958, serving as a Marine MP during the Korean War. On November 17, 1958 Earl married the love of his life, Mary Anne Robertson in Lander, Wyoming. Their marriage was blessed with four children and countless memories. After developing his trade as a baker, learned at an early age, Earl and Mary Anne owned and operated Westridge Bakery for many years. Upon selling the bakery to his younger brother, Darryl, he worked as a sales representative for Pacific Fruit and Produce and Shamrock Food service. Deciding to return to what he loved, they opened The Bakery. Earl eventually entered semi-retirement, operating Gallinger Pilot Car Service. He enjoyed the opportunity to travel and see various parts of the country. Over the years, he and his family also raised livestock on their property west of town. Earl enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends, traveling with his wife, and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Anne; sons Fr. Carl Gallinger of Cheyenne, Scott(Kyler) Gallinger of Casper, Greg(Kitty Mills)Gallinger of Casper, daughter Michelle(Lisa Taylor)Gallinger of Portland, OR; grandchildren Andrew Gallinger and Farren Thompson; sisters Barbara(Tom) Hanna, and Judy(Wayne) Lange, and numerous nieces and nephews. Earl was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl James and Joy Gallinger (Freeman), and brother Darryl Gallinger. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, Oct 21 at 10am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Inurnrment will be at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery. The family requests a donation be made to the St. Anthony's Tri Parish Catholic School, Casper, WY in Earl's memory.
