Calvin Grinder

Calvin James Grinder, 33, was born in Tuscan, Arizona June 14th, 1985 although Casper was his home. Calvin unexpectedly passed on July 23rd, 2018 from surgical complications. Calvin attended Natrona County High School and was well known for backyard wrestling events. Calvin attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming. Calvin received his Associates in English and came dangerously close to completing his Bachelors degree. Calvin and Tanya were married August 22, 2015 at Crimson Dawn following a 10 year courtship and excitedly welcomed their son, Maddox James, on December 21st, 2016. Calvin excelled at fatherhood and Maddox was Calvin's greatest accomplishment. Calvin worked as a Paraeducator within the Special Education classroom at Willard Elementary School where he was well known for his fabulous Friday shenanigans and his innate ability to connect with every child he encountered. Calvin's infectious sense of humor touched all who met him. Calvin was truly accepting of all and often would encourage people to embrace and be proud of their unique qualities. Together Calvin and Tanya made every event a celebration and had developed several traditions between them. Holidays and rituals became a core component of their life together. Calvin was a devoted and amazing husband. Calvin enjoyed writing, cooking, watching horror films, playing board games, catching Pokémon, walking his dogs, reading, playing Magic the Gathering, video gaming, singing and dancing, spending time with his nephews and nieces, and WWE Wrestling. Calvin is survived by his 19 month old son Maddox Grinder, his wife Tanya Meek. Bella (dog), Foxy(dog), MJ(cat), and Cora (cat), his mother Peaches Yohn, older brother Dan Grinder/Jamie Grinder, younger brother Charlie Jackson/Amber Jackson, Connor Blethen (nephew), Gypsy Grinder (niece), Starla Grinder (niece), Kaleb Witte (nephew), Lucian Grinder (nephew), Kodi Meek (mother-in-law), Tammy Meek (sister-in-law), Haylie Meek (niece). Finding words to capture Calvin's spirit is proving impossible. Calvin was a fighter, a feeler and a lover. He had an inspiring passion for life and moved those around him to more fully engage in their own world. Calvin was liked and loved by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on July 27th at 3:00 pm, at Bustard's Funeral Home. Please come dressed in a WWE t-shirt, a videogame t-shirt or another t-shirt showcasing your passion.
