C. Paul Hartman 11/30/30 - 9/9/18 Mr. Hartman 87, died September 9, 2018 at Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Center. He was born November 30, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clarence G. and Ethyl Sheffer Hartman. He lived in Osborne, KA until the family moved to Fort Collins, CO. in 1947. He graduated from high school in McPherson, KA in 1949. Mr. Hartman was active in F.F. A. and was awarded the State Farmer Award. June 15, 1952 he married Donna Mitchell in Fort Collins, CO. He received a B.S. and M.Ed degrees from Colorado State University. In 1953 a daughter, Paula Kaylene was born. Also in 1953 he accepted a teaching position in the Berthoud, CO. High School. They lived in Berthoud from 1953 to 1956. Following this they moved to a farm west of Loveland, CO. Mr. Hartman farmed and had a dairy. He also worked as a carpenter. In 1965 he joined the teaching staff at Casper College as a Construction Technology Instructor. He was selected as one of the 10 persons serving on the Solar Energy and Alternative Energy Advisory Board for NAJCC. (National Association of Junior and Community Colleges). He attended several board meetings in Washington, DC. Mr. Hartman retired from Casper College after teaching there for 28 years. He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, serving on the board and other areas of the church both local and district. He deeply loved his Lord and helping others. He worked on the City Planning Commission for several years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by one daughter, Paula and husband Rev. Jim Knight of Casper; granddaughter, Krista Knight of KS; 2 grandsons, Kyle Knight and Jim (Ashley) Knight of Casper, WY. Also 4 great grandsons all of Casper, WY. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the First Church of Nazarene in Casper with Pastor Derek Elkins officiating. Please click here to view the video tribute
