Mr. Brian James Harshman was born April 26, 1959 in Casper, the son of Ervin L. and June E. (Berg) Harshman, the fourth of five sons. He passed away September 8, 2014 at his home in Edgerton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2014, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by Fr. Lucas Simango. Private inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the Parkway Plaza, Ballroom B and C. Brian attended schools in Midwest, Casper and Gillette. He graduated from Midwest High in 1977. He attended Casper College. Brian served on the Midwest town council, he rebuilt, owned and operated the Junction Service Center in Midwest after a fire and made a successful business. He worked at a variety of jobs in the oil and gas industry throughout his life. Brian played every sport as a kid and enjoyed sports his entire life. He was a fierce competitor and loyal teammate. He enjoyed watching his son, nephews and nieces participate in various activities. He was animal lover who always had the companionship of a faithful dog. He could build, drive, operate and construct nearly anything. He was an accomplished cook and he enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving father and a loyal son and brother. We will miss his kind heart and his sense of humor. Survivors include his son, Riley Harshman; his mother June; brothers David, Mike, Gary and Steve; nieces, Kristen, Sara, Megan; nephews Shawn, Josh, Jesse, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, infant sister Cecilia, grandparents Ervin and Ida Harshman, Enoch and Josephine Berg. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice Home, 319 South Wilson, Casper, WY 82601, or a charity of the donor's choice.
