Brett Hede

Brett M. Hede died on January 1, 2018 at the age of 63 following a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Powell, WY and the family moved to Casper in 1961. In 1965 Brett joined the Casper Troopers and enjoyed performing with the corp until the end of summer in 1972. Following his graduation from Kelly Walsh high school he joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He was discharged in 1976 at the rank of second class electronics technician. Upon discharge Brett returned to Casper and joined his family in their photography business, Hede Photographers, Inc. He closed the business in 2010 after thirty-four years of operation. Brett had two sons, Nick and Adam. In 1987 he married the love of his life, Judi Blair. She also had a son, Jeff, which he adopted. They enjoyed 30 wonderful years together along with their children and pets. Brett was a kind soul and was one of those people who was liked by everyone. He had a strong work ethic and excelled at any job put before him. He had a great sense of humor and had fun scaring people with plastic snakes and spiders hiding in desk drawers. He was a long time Christian and the family looks forward to the day when they will all be reunited. Brett leaves behind his loving wife Judi, sons Nick (Lizzy) and their children Katherine, Geneva, and Arthur of Casper, Adam (Erica) of Marana, AZ, and Jeff of Cheyenne. He also leaves another granddaughter, Ashley Hede-Gilstrap of Casper and his brother Bob of Lander. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mitzi Coupons. Private services have been held.
