Local artist Brad Cool (62) of Casper Wyoming passed away early morning of June 30th in a car accident near Wheatland Wyoming. Brad was born October 16, 1952 in North Platte Nebraska to Wayne and Dorothy Cool (Deceased). Brad was an artist his entire life, He started out by drawing the superheroes from his favorite comic books. His love for creating only blossomed from there, but it wasn't until college that Brad adapted his artistic abilities into teaching and for the next 35 years he spent his life teaching future generations how to create and think creatively. He retired from teaching in 2009 due to health problems. He was honored to have his work displayed in several museums including The Joslyn Museum in Omaha, the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper and the Michael Lichter Museum in Sturgis SD, as well as many others. It was during College that Brad met his beautiful wife Gail, and they were married on her parents' farm in 1977. They went on to have two children, Josh and Christine Cool of Denver, CO. Brad liked all things fast, loud and dangerous. Whether it was blasting down the interstate on his Harley Davidson, or blasting up the river on his flat bottom boat, if it had an engine and could be customized he was into it. A Memorial Service will be held at Bustards Funeral Home in Casper at 2:30 on Sunday. All are welcome to attend. The family asks that in lieu of Flowers a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Casper be made in his honor.
